Ideally situated in north central Texas, Dallas County has a population of almost 2.5 million and is the ninth most populous county in the United States. Dallas County encompasses 30 diverse, growing cities with a vibrant, well-educated population. The City of Dallas, serving as the county seat and a thriving regional hub, is the third most populous city in the state and the ninth most populous in the country.

Dallas County seeks an experienced, outgoing, and service-oriented candidate to serve as its new Elections Administrator. The successful candidate will be a highly ethical, politically astute individual who will foster a culture of accountability and transparency in the department. Ideally, the selected Elections Administrator will have experience as the elections administrator or assistant/deputy elections administrator of a county or other governmental entity responsible for holding elections in a county or governmental entity with a population of at least 125,000.

Education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, liberal arts, social sciences, or in a job-related field of study is required. Seven (7) years of experience, including two (2) years of managerial experience in voter registration and election procedures is required. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Dallas County. The selected candidate must be a current registered voter in the State of Texas or be eligible to register to vote in the State of Texas upon hire.

Dallas County offers a competitive salary of 150,000-178,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
