Operating as a home-rule city with a Council-Manager form of government, the day-to-day operations of the City are vested with the City Manager. The Chief of Police reports directly to the City Manager and is an important member of the City’s Executive Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field; master’s degree is preferred.  At least 10 years of experience in law enforcement with at least 5 years of supervisory experience is required.  Experience as a Chief or Assistant Chief is preferred.

*The salary range for this position is $101,047 to $129,340 depending on qualifications.
